I was integrally involved in the prototyping, series design, design direction and creative direction of this ground-breaking, 10,000 page K-12 social studies program created for the socially progressive California market. I created the team structure and workflow for the project. I taught the system to teams of designers and editors and oversaw the creative collaborations. I created and was personally in charge of the special features “A Moment in Time” and “A Closer Look,” approving the concepts, specifying the art and illustration, laying out the page, and editing the text.
